Unique Need
Purcell’s previous solution utilized an insert and a non-rotating padlock. DIRAK provided an alternative, customized solution utilizing a self-locking key cylinder that is push to close. Additionally, the DIRAK swinghandle offers a free-rotating hasp for padlocks.
Solution
The free spinning padlock pin on the DIRAK swinghandle provides increased vandal resistance versus a traditional fixed pin which is prone to easy breakage with tools such as a screw driver. The self-locking cylinder allows the operator to push the handle closed without requiring a key to activate the tumbler, saving the end-user time and hassle.
